About Chemical Peels

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are a quick way to improve the skin’s appearance by reducing the presence of fine lines, wrinkles and blemishes. By removing superficial layers of skin, smoother, clearer, younger-looking skin can shine through.

Available in a wide variety of strengths and formulas, chemical peels can be superficial, mild, medium-depth, or deep, and can address acne, acne scarring, melasma, aging skin, sun damage, in addition to a laundry list of other skin imperfections*.

What are light peels?

Light Peels are a quick and effective way to treat the skin with less downtime. This type of peel is great for treating individuals with uneven skin tone, sun damage, fine lines or moderate wrinkles.  It is also a great peel for anyone that wants to freshen their appearance. These treatments help to exfoliate and refresh the appearance of your skin and can help with certain skin problems such as acne, fine lines, Melasma and brown patches.

What are medium peels?

Medium peels are stronger than the superficial light peels and often contain Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) or stronger acids that penetrate below the skin surface to correct a wide range of skin damage including sun damage, hyperpigmentation, acne, and fine lines and wrinkles.  Patients will experience a deeper level of skin resurfacing with this peel and will have some downtime following the procedure.

Often a single treatment is enough to give you noticeably smoother, softer, clearer, and more radiant skin.
